Dell Inspiron Small Desktop

Dell Inspiron Small Desktop Overview – What Do Dell’s Inexpensive, Mini Desktops Offer? What Benefits Can Users Expect?

If you want a quality desktop that doesn’t cost much money, the Dell Inspiron Small Desktop is the way to go. These PCs are built with the latest Intel processors, and you can expect reliability and speed on everyday tasks. They make great replacements for older, outdated desktops, as they offer just as much –if not more – at a very low price.

The design includes a small black chassis with a glossy finish, side-by-side vertical panels and silver trim. It’s a nice look for such an inexpensive computer. Two USB 2.0 ports, an 8-in-1 card reader, and headphone/microphone jacks are located behind the left panel. The panel also covers the tray-loading DVD RW drive. A variety of other ports, such as USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports and an HDMI input, are located on the rear of the chassis.

While there’s not a great deal of room for expansion, the system still supports upgraded memory. 4GB of memory (single channel 4GB x 1 DDR3L 1600-MHz) is included with the base model. However, you can upgrade all the way up to 16GB of memory.

Stay connected to the internet wirelessly with the latest integrated Wi-FI technology and Bluetooth. There are still many desktops out there that require a wireless adapter as they do not come with integrated Wi-Fi. This isn’t the case with the Inspiron Small Desktop. The built-in Wi-Fi capabilities make it a good choice of a second computer in the home or office.

Audio and Processor Choices for the Dell Inspiron Small Desktop

As mentioned above, it comes equipped with a good processor, like the Intel Pentium G3250 (3.20GHz and 3M cache). If you want a 4th generation Intel Core i5 processor, you can customize it with a 4460S model (up to 3.4GHz and 6M cache). The sound card is an HD audio with Waves MaxxAudio 4 technology and the video card is Intel HD graphics. If you want to play a few games here and there, you can get a low profile GPU card that can handle some 3D action.

The dimensions and weight of a “small” Inspiron desktop is typically around 10.5-in. x 4-in. x 15-inch (HxWxD), and 13lbs. Another benefit of having a small tower is that it is easy to set up. You don’t need much space at all on your desk or table. It’s also extremely quiet, thanks to cooling technology.

The customization process for the Dell Inspiron Small Desktop is seamless. Dell makes it easy to select the amount of memory you need, the processor, storage drive, and so forth. It’s by far the best mini-desktop you can buy at this low of a price.
