Since the HP ProBook 430 G3 is aimed towards business users, it has a variety of security features, such as Trusted Platform Module technology, a fingerprint reader, BIOS protection, lock slot, and Microsoft Security Essentials for models with Windows 7 OS.

The power supply / Smart AC adapter is 45-W. There is a four-cell Lithium-Ion battery included in the base price (40WHr) that has a pretty good runtime of six hours of video playback. If even more runtime is required, the user can upgrade to a six-cell 55WHr battery.
