Looking for a laptop workstation with a solid construction, smooth operation, and fast processors? The Lenovo ThinkPad P51 fits all of these criteria and offers a lot more. Its design includes an award-winning keyboard and improved touchpad. The ergonomic keyboard has spill-resistant, full-sized keys, and the TrackPoint pointing device is extremely accurate.

With the (optional) Xeon processor and ultra 4K display, you can count on this machine getting jobs done. Not only does it boot superfast, it launches programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Visual Studio 2017 almost instantaneously. The construction process includes MIL-SPEC tested to ensure durability for years to come.

You get a few options with the 15.6-inch display, starting with a FHD anti-glare IPS model (1020 x 1080). An IPS 10-point multi-touchscreen version is available, as well as the 4K UHD model (3840 x 2160), which you should really consider going with – especially if you plan on working on a lot of multimedia projects. The Full HD IPS display is still excellent as well, and offers 250-nits (touchscreen option is 220-nits).

The starting option for the processor is an Intel Core i7 (6MB cache / up to 3.8-GHz). The XEON E3 processor is capable of up to a full 4.0-GHz or even 4.2-GHz (8MB cache), depending on how you customize your order. For memory, you can start with 8GB or 16GB and expand all the way up to 32GB (2400 MHz). Graphics include NVIDIA Quadro M1200 (GGDR5 4GB). Get up to 66-WHr with a four-cell battery or 90-WHr with a six-cell unit. The power supply is capable of 170-W.

All of your connectivity needs will be provided for with the large selection of I/O ports and slots, including 4 USB 3.0 ports (1 always on), mini DP 1.2, Thunderbolt 3, HDMI 1.4, etc.
