Lenovo IdeaCentre AIO 520

Lenovo IdeaCentre AIO 520 Overview: Why This PC is a Great Addition to Any Home or Office Network

All-in-one computers don’t always have to be expense. While they have been a bit pricey in the past, that isn’t the case anymore – especially when it comes to the Lenovo IdeaCentre AIO 520. It’s affordable, but not in the slightest bit cheap. Its design is very nice and elegant. You wouldn’t guess that the construction consists of plastic, as the silver-colored finish and accents make it look like aluminum.

This AiO is available in two sizes: 21.5-inches and 24-inches. Both versions are built similarly, with just a few variances in the base configuration. No matter which version you choose, you can count on getting a quality machine that will handle your work and/or entertainment efficiently. Unlike the larger 27-inch all-in-ones, the 520 (including the 24-inch version), will fit on almost any desk without taking up much space.

The webcam design is very neat as well, as it includes a pop-out module installed just below the display. With this design, you can easily disable the camera when you are not using it. You can only pop it out when you need it. This design means that there is less clutter around the display bezels.

What kind of processor do you get with the Lenovo IdeaCentre AIO 520? What about the memory and operating system? The base configuration of the 24-inch version includes a 7th generation Intel Core processor (i5 7400T model), 1TB hard drive, 8GB of DDR4 RAM, and Windows 10 Home OS (64). The display itself on this model is a 23.8-inch WVA FHD multi-touch borderless screen with 1920 x 1080 resolution.

Base Configuration of the Lenovo IdeaCentre AIO 520

The base configuration for the 21.5-inch version includes an Intel Pentium processor (2.30MHz / 2MB), 21.5-inch FHD IPS multi-touch display with 1920 x 1080 resolution, 4GB of memory, and 1TB hard drive. Some of these can be upgraded, like the processor. You can select a 6th Gen. Intel Core i3 CPU instead of the Intel Pentium. The memory can be upgraded to 8GB and the hard drive is expandable to 2TB.

You get a DVD recordable optical drive an integrated HD Intel graphics on both. Additional features include Bluetooth Version 4.0, a USB English keyboard, optical mouse, 802.11 ac (1×1) network card, dual-array microphone, and two 3-watt speakers.

The resolution on the display is crystal-clear. Relive your favorite moments in detail as you view videos and images on the full HD display. It’s easy to zoom in / out and scroll through footage on the 10-point multi-touch version. You can also hook the AiO up to another display thanks to its HDMI-in / HDMI-out connectivity.

You really can’t go wrong with the Lenovo IdeaCentre AIO 520 – it is very affordable and great to have around the house or place of business.
