Dell OptiPlex 7070 Overview of the New Tower, Micro, and Ultra Designs and What to Expect from Them

Dell OptiPlex computers are always sustainably built and MIL-STD tested, and this is no different. It’s available in different sizes (including “Micro” and “Ultra”) and no matter which one you choose, you can expect a durable machine that will last for a long time. They are also built responsibly, as many of the materials are post-consumer recycled plastics. The Dell OptiPlex 7070 comes with a chassis intrusion switch and lockable cable covers.

The Ultra version is so tiny that it can fit into a monitor stand or clip on to the back of a monitor via a VESA mount. It’s a good option if you want an all-in-one setup and already have the perfect monitor. The Ultra only ways 1.16-lbs and the Micro version weighs 2.6-lbs. There is also a regular sized tower that weighs around 17.49-lbs.

The Micro can come with an Intel Core i3 or i7 processor, whereas the Ultra can be ordered with either an i3 or an i5 processor. The larger tower has room for more expansion, but the smaller models still come with good configurations anyway. With all versions, there are no compromises with accessories, as there is good variety of USB ports and other slots.

Here is a quick overview of the specs each version comes with:

The smaller models come with more cooling grilles around the power button since all of the components are packed so tightly together. 1. Why does dell not show specifically the micro version of the Optiplex 7070 on their website? I was trying to find a bios update but it does not say it is specifically for this model. It just says 7070. Could be the tower. There is no picture of the micro and if you type micro in it says it can’t find it. Very weird how little support there is for a fairly recent model. What is going on?
