Lenovo ThinkPad X13

Lenovo ThinkPad X13 Review: All the Details about This Top-Notch Professional Business Laptop and Its Features

This ThinkPad is among the better generation of laptops for professional users, with its AMD Ryzen processors and reliable, speedy performance. One can tell just by looking at it that it’s incredibly portable. Some configurations of the Lenovo ThinkPad X13 come with Ryzen 3 PRO processors, some with Ryzen 5 Pro, and some with Ryzen 7 Pro. These are 4-cores, 6-cores, 8-cores, respectively.

Always be on the lookout for deals and offers – especially if you want a Ryzen 5 Pro or 7, as these configurations can be on the pricey side. This ThinkPad is, however, worth the investment. It has a callous build, with a signature black exterior that makes for a professional business design. Furthermore, the aluminum chassis has been through multiple military-trade durability tests, making it resistant to most laptop issues such as bumps and spills.

Included in the build is a full-featured keyboard, two options for mouse input, stereo speakers (Dolby Audio), and a 13.3-inch display – all for under 3-lbs (2.84). There are also plenty of security features that come with the Lenovo ThinkPad X13: dTPM 2.0 chip, Kensington lock slot, ThinkShutter camera cover, and optional PrivacyGuard for the camera.

Lenovo ThinkPad X13 Display and Configuration

Another area that stands out is the 13.3-inch display, with the cheapest configuration option being an HD anti-glare / 250-nit / 1366 x 768 resolution. Those who want a better screen have a few more options when ordering online, up to an FHD anti-glare touchscreen (300-nits) or FHD IPS (500-nit) with PrivacyGuard. The FHD options have 1920 x 1080 resolutions. Regardless of which screen you end up with, you’ll be able to see more easily when viewing in direct sunlight or darker settings with bright backlighting.

There is a protective bezel surrounding the rim of the display. While it takes away from the screen space a tiny bit, it reinforces the machine’s stability. Another benefit of the design is the audio, as the Dolby speakers are impressively loud and deliver fantastic bass.

The Operating System is Windows 10 Home or Pro, the latter of which is ideal for businesses. As for the storage, get plenty of storage space with a fast PCIe SSD (1TB) drive. For the memory, you can expand up to 32GB (DDR4 3200-MHz), and several ports including 2 x USB-C, 2 USB 3.2 (gen 1), HDMI 2.0, a microphone/headphone combo jack, and microSD card reader.

The graphics come on an integrated AMD Radeon Vega. In addition to the Lenovo ThinkPad X13 itself, the package contents include a 6-cell 48-Wh internal battery, 65-W AC adapter, and quick start guide.
