Lenovo ThinkPad T15p

Lenovo ThinkPad T15p Overview: Available Configurations and Optional Features – What to Expect

Lenovo expands the ThinkPad line to include durable 15-inch models. In particular, this new model has a faster Comet Lake H chip with an Intel Core i5 or i7 processor (10th generation). A few configurations are available for you to choose from, varying prices depending on exactly what you want. Some of the other specs of the Lenovo ThinkPad T15p are similar to the T15 model.

While the T15p (Generation 1) does have a thicker chassis than the T15, it’s still thinner than the past’s p models. It is more portable than many other 15-inch laptops on the market. It weighs approximately 4.57-lbs or 2.07-kg.

We should mention the “Ultra-Performance Mode” setting, which enables the computer to reach “redline” optimal performance. There is airflow / thermal saturation optimized to keep the ThinkPad running as fast and efficiently as possible. This technology is ideal if you want to use the T15p for work or gaming.

One of the display options is for a best-in-class 4K wide-angle panel with 100% adobe color gamut and 600-nits capabilities. Suppose you don’t need a fancy 4K display. In that case, you can choose a less-pricey configuration that includes a 15.6-inch FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS / 250-nits capabilities. The latter is more than enough for the average user.

Lenovo ThinkPad T15p Graphics

The base option comes with integrated Intel UHD graphics. If you need dedicated graphics, order the Lenovo ThinkPad T15p with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 (3GB).

Lenovo built this machine to endure, as it has been through 12 military-grade requirement tests and over 200 quality checks. It’s fully protected against the most extreme conditions, from desert dust storms to Arctic-level temperatures. It also survives most drops and spills.

There is a built-in suite of security features with the Lenovo ThinkPad T15p. It includes dTPM, fingerprint reader (match-on chip) that encrypts your biometric data, Kensington lock slot (lock sold separately), ThinkShutter privacy cover for the camera, and optimal Intel vPro platform. Speaking of the camera, a 720p HD comes standard, and there is an optional Hybrid Infrared (IR).

The memory is expandable up to 64GB (DDR4 2933-MHz), an exceptional amount for a laptop. As for the storage, there is room for up to two 2TB PCIe SSD drives. Battery life depends on whether the model comes with an MM14 (up to 12.1 hours) or MM18 (7.9 hours).

This Lenovo ThinkPad T15p review is just a summary of everything this new model comes with and the optional configurations. Order it online, along with any accessories and supplies you need.
