Dell Inspiron 13 7306 Guide: A Sleek 2-in-1 with Very Impressive Active Pen Support, UHD Display, and Overall Design

Dell is good at making versatile 2-in-1 laptops, and this particular model is the right choice for most users. Not only does it offer competent performance, but the Dell Inspiron 13 7306 also has a premium design. It has a 13.3-inch (optional) 4K UHD display, platinum silver design, and a nicely built keyboard that features an improved lift-hinge for tilt.

The model comes with an active pen that is rechargeable. There is a built-in “pen garage” where you can store it (held in place with magnets) and automatically charge it. There are 4,096 pressure sensitivity levels with the pen, and it comes with features such as tilt detection and Bluetooth connectivity. The pen should create fluid movements whether you are writing, drawing, taking notes, etc. It’s just as smooth as writing with a fountain pen on paper.

Other input devices offer an intense experience as well. The trackpad is entirely responsive and smooth and is large enough for even four-finger gestures. As mentioned above, the keyboard has a nice tilt to make typing more comfortable.

There are relatively large speaker grilles on the underside of the 2-in-1’s chassis, close to the front. The Dell Inspiron 13 7306’s speakers use Waves MaxxAudio Pro technology (2 Wx2 = 4 W total) for tuning. You can also enjoy audio via a headset as there is a headphone/mic combo port. If the 13.3-inch display isn’t enough for you, connect the 2-in-1 to a larger monitor via the HDMI 2.0 port.

Dell Inspiron 13 7306 Processor and Graphics

Get the 11th Generation Intel Core processor (either i5 or i7) with up to 4.2-GHz and 8MB cache or 4.7-GHz and 12MB cache, respectively. There are several configurations of the Dell Inspiron 13 7306, each set at a different price. The OS that comes installed with each configuration is Windows 10 Home (64-bit).

The graphics are Intel Iris Xe with shared memory, which offers good performance for integrated graphics. Suppose you don’t need a UHD display. In that case, you can save by opting for one of the cheaper configurations that comes with a 13.3-inch FHD Truelife Touch display with 1920 x 1080 resolution. It also works great with the Active Pen.

For the memory, this 2-in-1 laptop can come with 8GB or 16GB onboard (LPDDR4x / 4267MHz). The M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD can have a 512GB capacity for storage, with optional Intel Optane Memory – H10 – 32GB.

Lastly, the integrated 4-cell battery (either 53-WHr or 60-WHr) that comes with the Dell Inspiron 13 7306 has a pretty remarkable life, and you can recharge them quickly. This PC is an ENERGY STAR 8.0 rated laptop.

  1. What pen did you use, please? I did not obtain a pen with my laptop and I’m searching for one that’s supported by this model.
    Thank you very much.

  2. Are you sure that the 4k screen of the 7306 can be use with the premium non rechargeable 4096 pressure sensitive pen? It has more ports than the XPS. The only thing that prevents me from buying it vs the EPS is concern.
