HP Spectre x360 13t-aw200

HP Spectre x360 13t-aw200 Review: A Lightweight, Thin 2-in-1 with High-Capacity SSD, 13.3-inch Display, & Great Security

HP offers this new 2-in-1 in colors such as Nightfall Black, Poseidon Blue, and Natural Silver. In addition, it has an aluminum chassis and neatly beveled edges. Overall, the HP Spectre x360 13t-aw200 is a very lightweight and slim device that weighs just 2.7-lb.

Don’t mistake “lightweight” with “cheap,” though. It’s pretty durable, and there is almost no flex. Two hinges allow users to flip and fold the display into various modes: tent, laptop, tablet, or easel. Regardless of the position, the screen does not wobble and stays firmly in place.

There is a face recognition webcam and a fingerprint reader located on the palm rest when signing in. Speaking of the webcam, it has an unhackable “kill switch” to turn it off and a microphone mute button that you can quickly activate. An LED indicator lets users know if the cam/mic is on or off.

The HP TrueVision HD IR (720p) camera is integrated along with the dual-array digital microphone. The wireless technology that comes with the 2-in-1 is Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX-201 (2×2). Additionally, there is Bluetooth 5(support for gigabit file transfer speeds).

Sound comes out of the bottom-mounted speakers, and while they’re not the loudest speakers in the world, they are pretty good for a 2-in-1 on the smaller side, like the HP Spectre x360 13t-aw200. B&O provides audio, and there are dual speakers with HP Audio Boost.

HP Spectre x360 13t-aw200 Connectivity

There are good external ports, including 2 Thunderbolt 4 with USB4 Type-C, USB Power Delivery and DisplayPort 1.4, 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-A (HP Sleep) Charge), and headphone/microphone combo. In addition, the USB Type-C ports support a 40-Gbps signaling rate, and the Type-A port supports a 5-Gbps signaling rate.

There are options for Intel Core i5 and i7 processors depending on the specs the model comes with. Some of the lowest-priced models come with 8GB (onboard) memory and Intel Iris Xe graphics. For example, the HP Spectre x360 13t-aw200 can come with 16GB (onboard) memory and Intel Iris Xe graphics with an Intel Core i7 processor (quad-core) with up to 4.7-GHz (Turbo Boost).

The 13.3-inch display comes either as an FHD (1920 x 1080) touchscreen with IPS technology and 400-nits or a 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) OLED touchscreen with UWVA technology edge-to-edge glass, BrightView, and 400-nits.

There are good options for storage, from 256GB / 512GB / 2TB PCIe NVMe M.2 Solid State Drive or 512GB Intel – 1TB Intel SSD with 32GB of Intel Optane memory.

A few other HP Spectre x360 13t-aw200 features include Windows 10 Home (64) OS, 65-W USB Type-C power adapter for the power supply, and 4-Cell 60-Wh Li-Ion polymer battery.
