Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 Review: All the Details Business Users Need to Know About This CNC Machined Aluminum 2-in-1

This PC is one of the most popular laptops across all brands – not just Dell. It’s a Windows 2-in-1 that you can flip around to use as laptops, tablets, “tent,” viewing mode, etc. Users can expect good build quality, decent battery life, fast CPU with optional vPro (depending on specific model), and other good things about the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1.

Since there are several configurations available, the price is going to vary. There is a 7th Generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processor with 4M cache, with up to 3.2 GHz – 3.6 GHz. With higher-priced models, it’s possible to get 12MB cache and up to 4.7-GHz with speed. Recent models have been upgraded with 11th Generation Intel Core processors.

The battery life is pretty long, with an expectancy of up to 14 hours on a full HD+ model. Even when doing much streaming, it can still last for up to 8 or so hours. It’s a 4-cell, 51-WHr integrated battery. As for the connectivity and ports, there are 2 Thunderbolt 4 ports featuring Power Delivery and one headset port for a headphone/mic combo.

The display for the lowest-price configuration of the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 is a 13.4-inch FHD+ WLED (16:10) touch with a 1920 x 1200 resolution. The pen works great with it, allowing users to navigate the screen and make smooth gestures easily. In addition, some versions include an InfinityEdge touch display, including an UltraSharp Quad HD+ screen with a 3200 x 1800 resolution.

The 2-in-1 does an excellent job of keeping up with various office tasks and workloads for general performance. The fans are quiet, and there is no overheating to worry about. However, at first glance, one thing that stands out is its platinum silver exterior and black interior.

With a starting weight of 2.9-lbs or 1.32-kg and dimensions of 0.56-inches in height X 11.69-inches in width X 8.15-inches in-depth, this is a lightweight device that is easy to transport and carry around as you travel for work.

16GB of onboard memory comes with the lowest priced option (4267-MHz LPDDR4x). For storage, there is a 512GB PCIe NVMe x4 SSD drive onboard the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1. Even though the graphics are integrated, Intel Iris Xe graphics still do a pretty good job with graphics performance.

There is a widescreen HD (720p) webcam and a dual-array digital microphone setup. In addition, with some models, there is an option for an infrared camera.

The audio and speakers go well together in delivering high-quality sound, whether users are listening to music, watching videos, doing FaceTime chats, etc. The Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 has stereo speakers that are professionally tuned with Waves MaxxAudio Pro technology and features 2W x 2 for a total of 4W.
