Alienware Aurora R12 Review – A Glance at the Different Models, Hardware Configuration, and Capabilities of This Gaming Desktop

It’s not every day you come across a gaming desktop that you can equip with RTX 3080 graphics available at an affordable price, so you don’t want to miss out on a chance to save on the Alienware Aurora R12.

Available at the Dell Store, this machine is designed to deliver a combination of design and functionality. It comes in two color schemes: Lunar Light and Dark Side of the Moon. Like most desktops these days, there are several models available with different specs and configurations from which you can choose when buying online.

The price will differ a great deal, depending on how you have it customized when ordering. However, regardless of which model you choose, you can count on getting a reliable desktop that will handle your gaming needs, as well as any other activity you need to use it for. In addition, the Alienware Aurora R12 is durable and made to last for a very long time.

The more affordable machines feature the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, which is still pretty impressive and will allow gamers to play at 1080p – even with popular E-Sports titles on displays at 240-Hz or 144-Hz. Those who want something a bit more powerful can opt for a configuration that includes the RTX 3070. The 3080 is an option with the higher-end models.

As for the processor, the R12 comes with 11th Generation Intel Core options, ranging from i5 (6-core) to i9 (8-core). The Intel Core i9 processor can get up to 5.3-GHz with Thermal Velocity Boost. Even with just the Intel Core i5 processor, there are some opportunities for quality gaming, thanks to the 2.6-GHz – 4.4-GHz speed and 6-cores technology.

Alienware Aurora R12 Memory and Graphics

The entry-level Alienware Aurora R12 has 8GB of memory, which is enough for beginner and casual gamers but not enough for the more hardcore gaming types. You will want to upgrade to at least 16GB for more extreme gaming or multimedia and 3D projects. This desktop tower can hold a total of 128GB of memory, although all of the additional RAM won’t come cheap.

As mentioned above, there are powerful NVIDIA GeForce GTX or RTX graphics, going all the way up to RTX 3090 24GB – GDDR6X.

It’s no surprise that a desktop of this caliber will have more than enough room for multiple storage drives, starting with a single 1TB SATA – 7200RPM (6Gb/s) and going all the way up to dual drives, which include an M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD for fast booting.

Learn more about the Alienware Aurora R12 right now and all of the other options. It’s a highly recommended desktop not only for gamers but for anybody else interested in having a powerful machine that can handle demanding multimedia and graphics work.
