HP ENVY 13t Review: A Glance at the Touch Version and Non-Touch Version and Other Features

With this laptop, you can select a touchscreen or non-touch display. The touch version costs a bit more but it’s really great to have. Additionally, the HP ENVY 13t has a light design and world-class keyboard. While there are a lot of light-colored laptops these days, this one really stands out, and has a shiny “HP” logo in the middle of the lid. Choose between “Natural Silver” or “Pale Gold”. There is a smooth bottom surface that is made from magnesium alloy. The side panels surrounding the 13.3-inch screen are very thin.

Camera Kill Switch

Some configurations come with an integrated Privacy Camera Kill Switch and fingerprint reader for privacy. The HP BIOS Recovery function protects your laptop from corruption. The keyboard and touchpad are among the best. The keyboard is proof that HP knows how to deliver an excellent typing experience on an ultra-thin laptop, and the keys have a snappy, responsive feel. The touchpad is 4.3 x 2.1-inch touchpad is highly accurate and easy to use. However, if you don’t like buttonless touchpads, then you can always connect any mouse to the ENVY notebook. There is also the optional touchscreen to consider.

The touch version weighs 2.7-lbs and the non-touch model weighs 2.59-lbs. Regardless of which model you choose, there is a good battery life. The HP ENVY 13t has a fast recharge time. Get around 50% of it charged in just 45 minutes. Expect up to 14 hours of a battery life per charge with the FHD panel, and up to 10.5 hours per charge with the UHD panel.

The 13.3-inch FHD IPS BrightView display is WLED-backlit and has a 1920 x 1080 resolution. For the touch model, choose a 13.3-inch FHD IPS / WLED-backlit multi-touch enabled display with edge-to-edge glass (1920 x 1080) or opt for the 4K IPS BrightView display with edge-to-edge glass (3840 x 2160).
