Samsung Galaxy Book Flex

Samsung Galaxy Book Flex Review: All About This 2-in-1 Notebook, Its UHD Touchscreen, Memory Options, Pen, & More

One thing that can really be said about the Samsung Galaxy  Book Flex is that it looks really, really nice – especially if you get the blue version. Its built-in S Pen also attracts a lot of attention, as does the bright QLED display for which it’s designed. There is a 15.6-inch model and 13.3-in model (the “Alpha” version), both of which have an ultra-bright QLED touchscreen.

The Quantum Dot technology allows you to use the pen for just about anything. Draw whatever you want or take notes – the process is as natural and fluid as possible.

The aluminum material from which it’s made really makes this Galaxy Book look refined. The Samsung logo is placed around the center-left area on the lid and really catches the eye with shiny letters. The top bezel manages to squeeze a small 720p webcam. The large trackpad takes up almost half the deck space beneath the keyboard. When not using the Pen, the trackpad provides a smooth experience for interacting with the Galaxy Book.

You just need to be careful when typing due to the right shift key being made smaller in order to make room for the fingerprint scanner key. For some users, this might take some getting used to.

Some of the specs with the Samsung Galaxy Book Flex vary, including the display. Regardless of whether you choose the 15.6-inch model or 13.3-inch model, you can choose 8GB or 12GB of memory.

Samsung Galaxy Book Flex Storage and Display

As for the storage, the 13.3-inch “Alpha” model comes with a 256GB SSD drive and the 15.6-inch model comes with a 512GB SSD. The Flex is powered by an Intel Core i5 or i7 processor and runs on the Windows 10 Home Operating System. The I/O ports on the regular 15.6-inch Galaxy Book Flex are 2 x Thunderbolt 3 and 1 USB-C. Graphics are powered by integrated Iris Plus. The Li-Ion battery is 4-cell mAh (4546) and has a really long life of up to 19 hours. This was according to the MM14 test. The maximum power is 65-W.

As mentioned above, there is a 720p HD camera. In addition to that, there is a built-in microphone and AKG stereo speakers (Max 5-W x 2) with SmartAmp technology.

Some of the software that comes with the Samsung’s Galaxy Book series includes Link Sharing, Samsung gallery, Life Wallpaper, Live Message, Studio Plus, Samsung DeX, Flow, teamPL, and more.

Overall, this is a really great 2-in-1 notebook to have, whether you get the 15.6-inch Samsung Galaxy Book Flex or the 13.3-inch Alpha version. There are always deals to be found on these notebooks and accessories online.
