Lenovo Yoga 710

Lenovo Yoga 710 Series Review – A Look at All Three Models, Their Features, and Design

The Lenovo Yoga 710 is available in different sizes: 11-inch, 14-inch, and 15-inch. Price varies considerably depending on which model you want. All of these models are nicely designed and have a lot to offer in terms of performance, functionality, aesthetics, and so forth. The design is both minimalist and attractive. The 710 sports a silver chassis made of aluminum and a lid featuring a shiny Yoga emblem. A tiny bezel surrounds the 1080p touchscreen.

The 11-inch version weighs only 2.35-lbs and is just over half-an-inch thick. The 14-inch model weighs 3.4-lbs, and the 15-incher weighs 4.40. These are also available in Ebony Black, and feature four different modes: Stand, Laptop, Tablet, or Tent. If you are more interested in a tablet, the 11-incher would likely be the best option. If you would prefer a laptop experience, go with the 14-inch or 15-inch model.

As with other bend-back 2-in-1 devices, the 710 has a 360-degree hinge that allows the display to be switched around into various modes.

Regardless of which version you choose, you can expect a sharp LED multi-touch display (1920×1080) with an integrated camera. The 15.6-inch display is also available as an Ultra HD (3840×2160) unit. The series supports up to 7th generation Intel Core processors: 1.20GHz for the 11-incher and 2.70 GHz for the 14- and 15-incher.

You can expect anywhere from 8GB to 16GB of onboard memory (1866MHz – 2133 MHz) and fast SSD drives with storage options going up to 256GB. With the two smaller models, you can get HD graphics ranging from 52- – 615. Only the 15-inch model can handle NVIDIA GeForce (2GB 940MX) graphics.

USB and Battery Life for the Lenovo Yoga 710

Every Lenovo Yoga 710 comes with at least one “always-on” USB 3.0 port, micro HDMI, and headphone/microphone audio jack. A four-in-one card reader and DisplayPort are also featured on the 14-inch and 15-inch versions.

The keys are fairly shallow, yet comfortable to type on, as they are nice and responsive. Whenever you’re not using tablet mode and wish to use the trackpad, you will find that it is spacious and intuitive to gestures.

Battery life is good as well, as the device can be used for several hours without running out of power. The 710 11-incher has a 40-WHr battery that can last for up to eight hours, even with video playback at 200-nits.

Lenovo “Value Added Applications” come pre-installed. Some are very useful, like the Solution Center, ID, Photo Master, ShareIt, and ReachIt.

Overall, Lenovo Yoga 710 reviews are primarily positive for all models. Regardless of which size you select and how you configure your unit, it will provide you with good performance.
