Lenovo ThinkPad X390 Yoga Preview – What Users Can Expect With the Upcoming 2-in-1 Ultra-Mobile Laptop / Tablet

At the recent Mobile World Congress 2019, Lenovo announced a new line of business laptops, including the ThinkPad X390 Yoga. It appears to be bolstered with some great new features for professionals on the go, and it’s described as “modular mobility”. This is a remarkably mobile 13-inch 2-in-1 device that can be converted between four different modes depending on your needs – all without sacrificing its convenient side-docking capability. The Lenovo ThinkPad X390 Yoga also features an integrated “Pen Pro” and enhanced security measures.

The Pen Pro can be used to unleash creativity in sketches or take notes and sign documents. It has a built-in battery that can easily and conveniently be charged. This is an “active” stylus based on Wacom AES technology, and even features integrated click buttons and supports 2,048 levels of pressure sensitivity.

The dual microphones feature far-field noise canceling technology. Additionally, a hybrid HD / IR camera is included with this Yoga, along with the ThinkShutter feature for privacy. The optional global LTE capability means that users can actually stay connected globally, no matter where they travel to.

This is a thin and light 2-in-1 with a straight weight of only 2.85-lbs. The 13.3-inch display is FHD multi-touch with a 1920 x 1080 resolution (300-nits). One of the two USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports is “always on”. For data transfer, power delivery, and for use as a DisplayPort, there is a 3.1 Gen. 1 Type-C USB AND Gen. 2 port both. Additionally, the upcoming Yoga will have a MicroSD card, RJ-45 Ethernet support (with dongle), a headphone / microphone jack and optional smartcard reader.
