Dell G5 5590 New Laptop Review: A Quick Look at the Features, Specs, and Design

Dell has recently put out some new gaming laptops, such as this G3 model that comes with an 8th Gen. Intel Core processor and nice 15.6-inch anti-glare LED display. The display is nicely designed and has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and anti-glare technology. The viewing angles are excellent and the maximum brightness is 250-nits. The design of the Dell G5 5590 isn’t overly flashy, nor is it boring. It’s “deep space” black and features attractive blue accents. On the palm rest, there is a premium metal finish.

Dell put all of the critical ports on the back of the system, so that the cords will stay out of your way. The 60-Whr battery charges the system up fast. There are many USB 3.1 ports, including SuperSpeed Gen. 1 Type-A w/ Powershare and USB-C Thunderbolt. There is also HDMI 2.0, Mini DisplayPort, and 2-in-1 SD / MicroMedia card and headphone jack. The 5590 measures 0.95-in x 14.3-in x 10.8-in (HxWxD) and has a starting weight of 5.9-lbs, or 2.68-kg.

The battery is an integrated 4-cell / 60-WHr unit that can last for about 7.5 hours per charge. This is an RTX laptop that can handle video playback and medium game settings very well. If you want to use it as a gaming machine, be sure to select the model of the Dell G5 5590 that comes with at least an 8th Gen. Intel Core processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 with 6GB (GDDR6).

Dell G5 5590 Audio Features

The innovative dual-fan cooling system and advanced thermal design means that the laptop stays cool at all times. Audio is excellent thanks to the Nahimic Sound Center and dual speakers, which have been positioned to the front of the device. Ventilation grills located on the bottom. There is a comfortable keyboard built into this machine with an RGB option. If you need security, choose the model with the fingerprint reader as it is very fast and accurate.

To ensure that your gameplay is seamless, there is Killer Networking technology available. The E2500 Gigabit Ethernet Controller allows for lower latency gameplay. For memory, choose either 8GB or 16GB of DDR4 memory (2600-MHz). The SSD storage solution helps the system and all of your files and information to load quickly. Get 128GB of storage with the M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD, combined with 1TB 2.5-inch SATA (5400-RPM).

It’s recommended that you order the Dell G5 5590 with Windows 10 Home or Pro so that you can use DirectX 12 and streaming with your games.
