This PC is a thin yet powerful Alienware gaming laptop offered by Dell. Gaming laptops are often heavy and bulky, but this model is a 15.6-inch machine with a starting weight of approximately 5-lbs. It measures 0.626-inches in height, 14.16-inches in width, and 10.915-inches in length. There is plenty of powerful hardware packed inside the Alienware x15 R1’s slim body.
Its thermal interface is made possible with an encapsulated gallium-silicone design called “Element 31”, which is Alienware-exclusive and an industry-first. This unique design allows for a 25% increase in thermal resistance. In addition, there is intelligent airflow with the quad-fan system. Each of the fans can independently move on its own, at its speed.
The Alienware Command Center gives the user access to 5 unique power and energy states to activate, manage, and set. These power states or profiles are determined via a set of variables and sensors throughout the computer’s CPU and GPU circuits. Examples include Balanced Mode, Performance Mode, Quiet Mode, and so forth.
